Signature Healthcare Nursing Home Senior Olympics

On Wednesday, Oct. 10, Signature HealthCARE hosted its second annual Senior Olympics games for nine Signature nursing homes across Kentucky. About 60 nursing home residents competed in the games, and a total of about 200 people attended. Celebrity judges included Bellarmine University men’s basketball coach Scotty Davenport, famed sports writer Billy Reed and Roger Burkman, who played for the University of Louisville and the Chicago Bulls.

Local musician and inspirational speaker Patrick Henry Hughes sang the national anthem, and Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer helped hand out trophies to the winners.
